Our training methods include the tried-and-tested military methodology of EDIP: Explain, Demonstrate, Imitate, and Practise. This approach ensures that our training is accessible and effective across all levels of society.
Foremost in our minds is leaving you with a strong sense of personal resilience developed through practice. Through our affiliations with training centres in Cape Town, we are also able to recommend leading institutions for continuation training for those who wish to progress further in their emergency response journey.
Their methodology is uncompromisingly practical. Training is grounded in operational reality, engineered to sharpen judgement, strengthen resilience, and ensure performance when consequences are real. Preparation is not optional. It is operational necessity.

Nigel Kühn

Leanè Human
Nigel specialises in risk and crisis response in high-threat and austere environments, applying a robust medical foundation when operational failure is not an option. From the Sahara to the Arctic - and everywhere in between - he has operated in small, tightly integrated teams where resilience is not assumed; it is built through discipline, preparation, and readiness. With a background in the British military and front-line resource protection - serving as an operator, trainer, and manager - Nigel designs mission-specific medical and crisis response frameworks for organisations working in complex and hostile settings. His experience spans strategic decision-making at senior levels through to the unforgiving reality of split-second judgement calls on the ground. He builds capability that performs under pressure. That is what sets him - and his team - apart.
A qualified Paramedic registered in Australia, the United Kingdom, and South Africa, Leanè brings experience across remote rescue, frontline emergency response, primary care, and professional training. Her work as a remote rescue medic in Zimbabwe reinforced the necessity of adaptable, pragmatic medical practice in austere and resource-limited environments. She understands that in high-risk settings, medical capability must be both clinically sound and operationally relevant. Currently advancing her qualification as an Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP) in South Africa, Leanè remains deeply committed to strengthening emergency care standards and preparing responders for the realities of high-pressure environments. Her training philosophy is grounded in lived experience and a clear understanding of operational demands. She delivers scenario-driven, context-specific instruction designed to build confidence, sharpen decision-making, and ensure competent performance when it matters most.

Nigel was patient and encouraged us throughout the training, creating a supportive learning environment. The session was both informative and empowering, and I feel confident in my ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations as a result of this training. I would highly recommend Nigel!”
